DESCRIPTION:In 2024 we launched the Trillium Death Café\, not realizing that using the name Death Café would have required us to sign an agreement with the Death Café organization. After learning that the organization doesn’t make that agreement with spiritual organizations like ours\, we naturally wanted to respect their boundaries\, and that’s why we changed the name of these gatherings to Death Conversations. \nOur meetings will still be based on the guidelines and format of the Death Café\, which started in 2011 and is now a worldwide movement. Our Trillium meetings will simply have a different name. \nDeath Conversations offer a safe and caring place to talk about what’s on your mind and heart about the end of life–the end of your life\, the end of your loved ones’ lives\, or the end of the life of anyone who has impacted you. \nA participant volunteers to speak briefly about what comes up for them when they think about the end of life. The next person might continue with the same topic\, or might raise another. Group members express their thoughts\, feelings\, concerns\, and questions about death. DESCRIPTION:Dear Friends\, \n\n\n\nHave you ever wondered what will happen after you die? \n\n\n\n\n\nSome people believe that you just stop existing. There’s no more you. Your life is completely over. There’s no afterlife. You no longer exist. \n\n\n\n\n\nOthers believe that death is a doorway into the next chapter of life––when your soul leaves your body and goes to a very different place. There\, you continue to learn and evolve\, and you relate with other spirits who have energy bodies\, like you. \n\n\n\n\n\nPerhaps you’re a skeptic about near-death experiences\, and think they originate in the brain\, like hallucinations or dreams. \n\n\n\n\n\nWhat do you believe? \n\n\n\n\n\nHow attached are you to what you believe? \n\n\n\n\n\nWe invite you to come to our July 20 webinar with an open mind\, and invite your beliefs to step back while we explore a range of possibilities that might happen after death. \n\n\n\n\n\nWe’ll be using a couple of sources for this exploration: (1) near-death experiences from people who have clinically died\, and (2) messages from a trance medium who gives voice to a spirit guide. \n\n\n\n\n\nYou might walk away feeling comfortable with the same views you held before the event. Our Trillium meetings will simply have a different name. \nDeath Conversations offer a safe and caring place to talk about what’s on your mind and heart about the end of life–the end of your life\, the end of your loved ones’ lives\, or the end of the life of anyone who has impacted you. \nA participant volunteers to speak briefly about what comes up for them when they think about the end of life. The next person might continue with the same topic\, or might raise another. Group members express their thoughts\, feelings\, concerns\, and questions about death.
