We’ll hold each other in mutuality and help to reframe worries into what ifs: What if it’s all beyond our control? (It is). What if what happens is beyond our knowing? (It is). How can we rest in this not knowing and Trust in Being to carry us through whatever may come? If we can find this Trust\, then we can act as we’re called to act as the needs arise. DESCRIPTION:In 2024 we launched the Trillium Death Café\, not realizing that using the name Death Café would have required us to sign an agreement with the Death Café organization. After learning that the organization doesn’t make that agreement with spiritual organizations like ours\, we naturally wanted to respect their boundaries\, and that’s why we changed the name of these gatherings to Death Conversations. \nOur meetings will still be based on the guidelines and format of the Death Café\, which started in 2011 and is now a worldwide movement. Our Trillium meetings will simply have a different name. \nDeath Conversations offer a safe and caring place to talk about what’s on your mind and heart about the end of life–the end of your life\, the end of your loved ones’ lives\, or the end of the life of anyone who has impacted you. \nA participant volunteers to speak briefly about what comes up for them when they think about the end of life. The next person might continue with the same topic\, or might raise another. Group members express their thoughts\, feelings\, concerns\, and questions about death. DESCRIPTION:In 2024 we launched the Trillium Death Café\, not realizing that using the name Death Café would have required us to sign an agreement with the Death Café organization. After learning that the organization doesn’t make that agreement with spiritual organizations like ours\, we naturally wanted to respect their boundaries\, and that’s why we changed the name of these gatherings to Death Conversations. \nOur meetings will still be based on the guidelines and format of the Death Café\, which started in 2011 and is now a worldwide movement. Our Trillium meetings will simply have a different name. \nDeath Conversations offer a safe and caring place to talk about what’s on your mind and heart about the end of life–the end of your life\, the end of your loved ones’ lives\, or the end of the life of anyone who has impacted you. \nA participant volunteers to speak briefly about what comes up for them when they think about the end of life. The next person might continue with the same topic\, or might raise another. Group members express their thoughts\, feelings\, concerns\, and questions about death.
